Community Yard Sale - Fall Community Yard Sale We believe that "one man's trash is another man's treasure!" What a great way to locate inexpensive items, clothing, jewelry, toys, games and more. Vendors: Register your home for our community-wide yard sale to receive a spot on our township list, and a sign to post near your home. Registrations are for Lower Providence residents only. Firebird Theatre: Musical Theatre & Acting Workshops - Class I - Wednesdays Youth Musical Theatre & Acting Class Whether your child is a first time actor or a seasoned performer looking to hone their skills, come and spend Monday or Wednesday nights with our Firebird Theatre instructors for this exciting musical theatre workshop. Our classes will feature instruction in singing, dancing, acting audition readiness, theatrical make-up and more! Every night will be different, and you will learn the basics from experts in each specialty. Each session ends with a brief parent presentation.The curriculum for the class will be to perform a series of holidays scenes, skits and songs from popular stories! Pickleball Clinic with Universal Rackets - Friday & Saturday Afternoon Junior Clinic Level 1 Beginner Clinic: The Universal Rackets Beginner Pickleball Clinic will consist of learning serving and returning, how to keep score and rules, dinking and controlling the ball. Basic shot techniques and court positioning will be taught. The clinic is structured into segments, so each session builds off of the previous lesson. After the session is done, a studentwith no prior pickleball experience will turn into a confident player and be able to play fully on their own outside ofclass.Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Clinic: The Universal Rackets Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Pickleball Clinic will consist of serving, shot techniques, strategy, rules & scoring. Sessions will go over how to control the kitchen, touch shots, backhand & forehand drives and offense - to - defense transitioning. Students will hone their dinking and block - volleying, paired with a vast understanding of court positioning to set up their partner for a put away poach overhead smash. Plenty of match play will be included.Youth Level 1: Focus on learning the basics of the sport, including rules, scoring, serving,proper strokes & technique.Youth Level 2: Participants should be able to rally at least 8 balls back and forth, land 6out of 10 serves, and hit both down-the-line and cross-court shots. Match play is introduced at this level.*Each program has a 5-week long duration with a week 6 "rain date". Each participant should bring their own paddle, a filled water bottle and wear comfortable athletic clothes and sneakers.
